Meet Our Staff
Jordan Whittington - Lead Pastor
I am honored to be the lead pastor at FBC Farmers Branch. My passions are teaching and leading people. Each day, I am afforded the amazing opportunity to do both.
Please do not hold this against me, but I am not a native Texan. I am originally from Alabama and am a proud graduate of The University of Alabama. I am married to the only girl I ever loved, Carlin, and we have a little boy, Cooper.
I completed my Master of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, AL. I have served as a youth pastor, college pastor, and adults pastor. I would love to get to know you more. Please email me (Jordan@fbcfb.org) if you would ever want to chat, enjoy a meal, or simply learn more about our church.
Cooper May - Family Minister
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve here at First Baptist Farmers Branch! It is beyond exciting to see what the Lord is doing here and get to be a part of it. I have had the blessing to work in music ministry, youth ministry, and kids ministry. But, I get most excited about adult discipleship and Christian education, and desire for both to increase in the Church.
I was born in Texas, but I mostly grew up in Alexandria, VA. I came back to Texas for my undergrad at Texas A&M (whoop!) and currently attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in pursuit of an MDiv in Christian Ministry.
I would be overjoyed to get to know anyone better, so please text/call/email (send a letter, smoke signals, whatever it takes!) and we will set up a time to get coffee or a meal! My email is cooper@fbcfb.org.
Micaiah Kelly - Worship Minister
I’m so excited to be serving the people of FBC Farmers Branch! It’s such an encouragement to be part of this vibrant community of worshippers. I have the privilege of leading music in our worship services each Sunday and am blessed with a team of talented, dedicated musicians who love Jesus and love this church.
I’m originally from Savannah, Georgia, but I moved to the Dallas area from Birmingham, Alabama, where I met the love of my life, Kerrig. While in Birmingham, I graduated from Samford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Worship Leadership and had the opportunity to serve in several churches and faith-based programs over my six years there.
It would be such a joy to get to know more about you—yes, you! So just send over a call, text, email (micaiah@fbcfb.org), fax, or carrier pigeon, and we’ll get something on the calendar ASAP!
