The Church Challenge

This is for anyone feeling worn out, tired, overwhelmed or confused. This is for anyone feeling lonely, discouraged, empty, or uncertain. This is for anyone that wants more from their spiritual life but have tried and failed too many times.

It is insane to think that going to the gym once a month will have any marked improvement on your health, yet we believe that being sporadically involved in spiritual things should have improvement on our spiritual health. The average church member in America is reported to attend a service roughly once a month. No wonder we are struggling to see God work. No wonder we are seeing churches close. No wonder we are seeing the rise of no religion in our country.

Here at FBC, we firmly believe that God uses the local church to help shape and encourage the believer. We believe that Christian community is an expectation for spiritual growth. While many blame the church for not feeding their souls, we invite you to analyze yourself. Are you putting in the work that should create positive results?

We have developed the Church Challenge. It is not easy. It costs time and effort. But we fully believe that if you take part in the church challenge that you will see significant changes in your life. Not only will you feel the change, your spouse, your kids, your co-workers, and your friends will notice something different. We believe that God will use the church challenge to produce the fruit you desire in your life.

Here is the challenge:

For the next 28 days, commit to the following things:

  1. Attend a worship service each Sunday.

  2. Daily engage with God through his Word and Prayer (Help for this found here)

  3. Participate in Equipping Nights each Wednesday for practical help.

I promise you that if you take part in the church challenge, you will see the results you want. Your life will not be free of pains and problems, but you will have grown in peace and patience. This is not a scheme to increase your wealth, but I do believe that you will grow in your contentment and better see the blessings you have been given. What do you say? Will you take part in the church challenge?
