Meet Our Staff

Jordan Whittington - Lead Pastor

I am honored to be the lead pastor at FBC Farmers Branch. My passions are teaching and leading people. Each day, I am afforded the amazing opportunity to do both.

Please do not hold this against me, but I am not a native Texan. I am originally from Alabama and am a proud graduate of The University of Alabama. I am married to the only girl I ever loved, Carlin,  and we have a little boy, Cooper.

I completed my Master of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, AL. I have served as a youth pastor, college pastor, and adults pastor. I would love to get to know you more. Please email me (Jordan@fbcfb.org) if you would ever want to chat, enjoy a meal, or simply learn more about our church.

Sean Worrell - Family Ministry

It has been a joy to serve at First Baptist Farmers Branch since 2010. I have loved calling First Baptist Farmers Branch my home over the past decade along with my wife, Chelsea, and our daughters, Kennedy and Brooklyn.

I am an ordained and licensed minister. I obtained my Theology degree from Ouachita Baptist University and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from UT Tyler. It has been an honor to be able to serve students both in and out of church for the past twenty years, helping point them to Christ as they navigate through a critical time in their lives.

I would love to talk and pray with you about our student ministry and how you can fit into it, or how Christ can transform your life to something unbelievable!  You can reach me at scworrell@forneyisd.net or you can always call the church office.

Kelly Pfaffenberger - Worship Ministry

I am blessed to call FBCFB my church home and to help lead music in worship each Sunday. I have been connected to FBCFB since I was an infant as my parents were serving in the music ministry here when I was born. Later, I returned as an adult to continue serving in the music ministry.

FBCFB is where my husband, John, were married here and have raised our three beautiful children, Madison, Ian and Reagan here as well.I received her Bachelor’s of Music Ed. degree from Hardin-Simmons University and Master of Music from UNT. I also work as the choir director in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch school district.

“To be able to make music with my students and worship through music with my church family is a gift that I thank God for every day.”

Cooper May - Kids and Worship Ministry

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve here at First Baptist Farmers Branch! It is beyond exciting to see what the Lord is doing here and get to be a part of it. I have had the blessing to work in music ministry, youth ministry, and kids ministry. But, I get most excited about adult discipleship and Christian education, and desire for both to increase in the Church.

I was born in Texas, but I mostly grew up in Alexandria, VA. I came back to Texas for my undergrad at Texas A&M (whoop!) and currently attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in pursuit of an MDiv in Christian Ministry.

I would be overjoyed to get to know anyone better, so please text/call/email (send a letter, smoke signals, whatever it takes!) and we will set up a time to get coffee or a meal! My email is cooper@fbcfb.org.
